HazCheck Training

HazCheck Training is presented by the VACC Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) Unit.

HazCheck training enables participants to:

      • Understand the legal background of HazCheck
      • Select and use HazCheck Forms on various machines
      • Use the HazCheck procedures to ensure proper implementation and maintenance of the system
      • Develop the essential competency of risk assessment as it applies to the sale of used farm machinery

HazCheck training is applicable to dealer principles, sales staff and workshop supervisors who buy and sell machinery and will result in the following competencies:

      • Use of Reports - Successful participants will be able to use the HazCheck Appraisal Reports to identify OHS hazards, and to specify the need for further identification, assessment and control of safety hazards, by use of relevant HazCheck Final Inspection Reports. They will then be able to utilise the HazCheck Installation Safe Use Instructions Report (SUI), to communicate the safety controls required to machinery purchasers.
      • Risk Assessment Competency - Successful participants will be able to manage the process of hazard identification, risk assessment and control, by the use of all HazCheck Forms and Reports. Each participant will also be able to conduct risk assessment on uncommon machinery using HazCheck Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control Reports.

HazCheck training is quoted individually, based on the number of people, travel and accommodation. Please contact the VACC OHSE Unit on 9829 1138 for further information or an obligation free quote.
